Setting a new tone for work process, employee interaction, and brand identity, a Confidential Fortune 500 Financial Services Company relocated to the upper floors of a multi-tenant building in downtown Minneapolis. DLR Group’s design transforms the company’s work environment with a new workplace strategy that aligns with their evolving work process, builds in flexibility for future resiliency, and creates a professional, welcoming and branded environment to support attraction and retention of top talent. With a focus on efficiency and an overall workplace experience, the office has transitioned to a streamlined offering of private and open office workplace including a “one-size” private office. The design reallocates real estate from individual to shared spaces, to arrive at a better balance between heads-down work and collaboration venues. Meeting spaces are distributed across the six floors for easy and convenient access, while integrated technology throughout enables choice in where and how to work. Specialized settings support the unique needs and processes of agile project teams. A centralized conference center, immediately adjacent to the reception area, provides a curated experience that brings a new level of hospitality to visitors. A dramatic two-story multipurpose gathering area at the heart of the space serves as a work café, break area, library and employee meeting venue.
Inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and natural geometry, this financial investments firm’s new office aims to balance tradition and modernity with a sophisticated and refined aesthetic. Throughout the office a sophisticated and timeless palette of materials and furnishings, combined with a bespoke art program and custom environmental graphics, speak to the company’s core business and values, and convey an image of stability and trust.
